Following a major redesign in 2014, the Chevy Silverado 1500 underwent several tweaks each year through 2017. But with the 2018 model year soon arriving we expect the pickup to become described as a carryover model. We’re, nevertheless, anticipating a full redesign for the 2019 model-year.
After obtaining a restyled front end in 2016 and brand new grille dividers in 2017, we expect the looks of the 2018 Silverado to stay unchanged. Considering each of the changes the pickup has gotten lately, we dot expect this to become an issue together with buyers. The inner should also remain the same.
Being a carryover, we also anticipate the conventional qualities to stay unchanged. If this proves to be true, its own WT trimming (the base model) should include 17-inch steel brakes, xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, a bed light, air-conditioning, cruise, vinyl seating, solid rubber floors, and a 4.2-inch color screen speakers.
We also anticipate the power trains to roll in unchanged. This would indicate the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 base engine is a 4.3-liter v6 using 285 horsepower. The next engine is a 5.3-liter v 8 with 355 hp, followed closely by a 6.2-liter v 8 with 420 hp. The v6 and 5.3-liter v 8 engines will make use of a six-speed auto transmission, while the 6.2-liter engine will pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Much like other pick ups, the 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 various cabs have different IIHS safety ratings, and these should carry on in the new model year. All versions of the Silverado received good ratings in all but the small-overlap crash tests, where in fact the protracted cab model has an acceptable score and the crew cab gets an marginal rating. We expect these ratings to continue to the new year.
The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 does not yet have the official release date. Founded on recent order guides, Regular Cabs begins at $29380 with destination, as the Double Cab has been priced from $33405. Please see below for a full selection of prices by cab style and drive style. For simplicity, trims reflect a 6.6-foot box size, with the exception of Crew Cabs which are 5.75-feet.
