2019 Mitsubishi L200: Specs, Price, Design & More
The Mitsubishi pickup is updating. The Japanese brand today unveils the 2019 Mitsubishi L200 in Thailand, where the model is assembled. First launched locally, it will then be marketed worldwide.
The pickup segment will soon welcome a new member as the Mitsubishi L200 is renewed. The Japanese brand reveals us this morning the next generation, with an L200 that evolves mainly on the exterior design.
The front is completely worked to receive the famous “dynamic shield” dear to Mitsubishi, found today on most models of the brand. The grille, more tapered, is surrounded by “boomerangs” that go down to the bottom of the shield. More demonstrative and less consensual, the L200 evolves on the other hand much less in the back, where the changes are anecdotal.
Same observation in the cabin. If you already knew the interior atmosphere of the L200, you will not be left out. Just if Mitsubishi has revised the design of the steering wheel (with more integrated controls) and some small details such as the shape of the aerators or the instrument cluster.
2019 Mitsubishi L200 Engine Specs
The new L200 takes over the four-cylinder diesel 2.4 of 181 hp. The big news is the arrival of a new six-speed automatic transmission (compared to five previously) and a new driving mode. Off-road, adapted to difficult terrain (gravel, snow, sand and rock are the parameters of this mode).
The L200 recovers driving aids with pedestrian detection for emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, reverse collision warning, 360 ° camera or an unintentional acceleration sensor.
The new L200 uses MMC’s RISE reinforced impact safety body structure and is fitted with seven SRS airbags for improved occupant safety in the event of a crash. Active safety features include Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) which, when pulling a trailer, automatically helps keep it on line in side winds and other times it becomes unstable; and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) which warns the driver when his vehicle is about to drift out of its lane.
